About us

The aim of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full potential, physically, socially and as individuals, to become responsible citizens gaining skills for life.

About Us

The 88th Stirling (Braehead) Scout Group have been working as part of the community since 1974. The Scout Group is the only co-educational youth group based in Braehead, serving the communities of Braehead, Broomridge and Bannockburn as well as the villages of Cowie, Fallin and Plean.

Here at the 88th Stirling Scout Group we deliver a balanced programme to around 90 young people aged between 6 and 14 years helping them to develop their skills and confidence.  We Offer everyday adventure to our young people and support their development as positive ambassadors for themselves and their community.  As part of our exciting programme, our members may find themselves camping in woodland, heading out on kayaks and canoes, taking in activities such as archery, climbing and much much more.

Through working towards our extensive ranges of badges and awards, our young people learn a wide range of skills for life.

Made for Adventure

Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. Through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives.

Team of Dedicated Adult Volunteers

We are supported by an enthusiastic dedicated team of leaders and volunteers, who are highly skilled in the various activities offered, providing exciting, challenging and simulating activities for our young people.
