Abseiling @ Benny Beg

Date: 31st May 2026 Author: Margaret Cowie

Two groups took part in a memorable abseiling day at Benny Beg

Abseiling is the technique of descending a steep slope, cliff, or man-made structure by moving down a rope in a controlled manner, rather than being lowered by another person. It is widely used in climbing, mountaineering, caving, canyoning and search and rescue.

Well done to all that attended, some fears were conquered, skills gained and most importantly badged earned.

Thanks again to all the volunteers involved in making this an extremely eventful day
