Cubs-Litter Pick Heroes

Date: 27th Apr 2026 Author: Margaret Cowie

Armed with gloves, litter-picks and bags, ourĀ  enthusiastic cubs took to the grounds around Braehead Primary School recently.

They spent 2 hours scouring and collecting rubbish ranging from plastic bottles and snack wrappers to discarded fast food packages.

The cubs were amazed and sad at how much rubbish they collected, but their energy to turn things around was infectious.

The initiative, part of the cubs work towards their ‘Community Impact/Environmental Conservation’ badge, aimed to teach the young people about environmental responsibility and civic pride.
