Date: 20th Aug 2024 Author: David Cowie

Scouts hydration station volunteers

Members of the Scout troop attended the Scottish Half Marathon on Sunday in Musselburgh.

They operated one of the hydration stations for the runners and enthusiastically cheered on the stragglers.

Their energy and commitment to the yearly event brings in much needed funds for the troop.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
