88th Stirling Camp @ Home Part II

Location: Zoom

We are delighted to bring you the 88th Stirling Scout Group’s Camp @ home Part II. This is an opportunity for all sections across the group to “Camp Together” over the weekend of the 8th – 9th of May but from the comfort of your own home.

The Camp at home information will be released over the weekend on this page of the website and then promoted on the Facebook pages. We are going to use Online Scout manager so everyone can sign up to the event, this will also allow us to e-mail those taking part directly with the activity/programme item at the relevant time. The invitation for this event will arrive directly from Online Scout Manager to your email account.

This event will ensure that everyone that attends will get one night away as long as they don’t sleep in their bed and either create a den or use your tarp to create a shelter to sleep in.

The information below is our recommended camp menu options and we would encourage everyone as much as possible to follow this over the course of the weekend. Also attached is a copy of the camp programme with times that we will be following over the weekend. We hope you have fun and enjoy the weekend please don’t hesitate to sign up through OSM!

Update – This page will run in the reverse order of the camp so the most recent activity will be at the top.

11:30-11:45pm – Scouts Own & Thank you

Well, I am afraid we are almost at the end of camp at home. We hope you have enjoyed both Camp at Home & Camp at Home Part II. We hope that you have all managed to take part and tick off elements of badgework while also gaining a very different night away.

From the pictures on our Facebook pages, it certainly looks like all of the families have managed to join in and have fun. We want to take the opportunity to thank you all for taking part and supporting the Scout Group.

This event would not have been possible without the time and effort from our adult volunteers from across the sections and executive members so we would like to thank them for putting on a fantastic event this weekend!

Here is Keiran, the Group Scout Leader with a Scouts Own Message for everyone and to close the camp. After the video it is time to tidy up and return our campsite back to normal.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Camp, Camp, Alert! Camp Dismissed.

Note to Parents:
There are certain items in the packs we would like back the list is below:
– tarpaulins (dry please)
– Green garden canes
– Electric Kits (White boxes)
– If the match box is dry and has matches left we could re-use them

If these can be returned to your section leader at your next face to face meeting, thank you!

1:30pm – 3:30pm – Family Adventure

We are setting the entire camp a challenge. We want everyone (Mums, Dads, Brothers, Sisters) to get out and contribute to walking the equivalent of the North Coast 500. The North Cast 500 is Scotland’s answer to Route 66 and is 516 miles long. The Camp @ Home Team have started us off by bagging 30 miles lets see how you get on – Click Here for your instructions.

We are asking everyone, to walk, cycle or Scoot and send you family distance into scouts@88thstirlingscouts.co.uk and lets see if we can get everyone attending camp at home round the North Coast 500.

We will try to provide updates over the course of the next few hours. The Creative Challenge will be in your inboxes and on the website for 3:30pm so make sure your back for that!
